Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales Rep to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth in the Charlotte territory by developing relationships with clients, identifying their needs, and providing tailored solutions. Your expertise in account management and business development will be essential as you engage in outside sales activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients within your territory.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of our offerings.
  • Identify new business opportunities through lead generation and networking efforts.
  • Utilize effective upselling techniques to maximize sales potential with current accounts.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status using appropriate software tools.

Qualifications

  • Entry Level: 1-3 years of proven sales, marketing or technical experience.
  • Experience in the building materials industry is preferred, knowledge of hardwood and laminate flooring preferred, but not required
  • Must have strong verbal, written and personal skills.
  • Ability to conduct engaging product demos that effectively communicate value propositions.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts effectively.
  • Ability to work with people at all levels and across all departments.
  • Ability to work independently and have creative and critical thinking attributes.
  • Ability to complete projects with minimal direction.
  • Must be able to make formal presentations to groups, as well as, “relate to” distributor, dealer, contractor, and the installation mechanics.
  • Should have hands-on skills needed to perform field testing, mock-up installations, and product demonstrations.
