An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our in-house Finance team at Grace Loves Lace – a world-renowned bridal brand celebrated for redefining bridal fashion with effortless elegance and sustainability at its core.

Based at our Gold Coast HQ, this role is ideal for a detail-oriented and driven payroll professional looking to take the next step in their career. You’ll manage end-to-end payroll for our team across Australia, the UK, USA and Canada, supporting under 200 employees in total, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. You’ll work closely with our CFO and Finance team in a hands-on role within a collaborative and values-driven Finance function.


Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end processing of weekly and fortnightly payroll for our workforce across Australia, the UK, USA and Canada, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all regions.
  • Collect, review, and process timesheets, leave, payroll changes, onboarding and offboarding details within required payroll deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee, pay, leave, and statutory records, ensuring privacy, confidentiality, and data security at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and legislative requirements, including PAYG, tax, superannuation, payroll tax, benefits, and reporting obligations across regions.
  • Perform month-end and year-end payroll processes, including reconciliations, payment summaries, superannuation, benefits, and statutory remittances.
  • Prepare and deliver regular payroll, labour, and compliance reports to Finance, P&C, and relevant stakeholders as required.
  • Interpret and apply relevant awards, agreements, and industrial instruments, maintaining current knowledge and seeking guidance from P&C where needed.
  • Liaise with payroll software providers to resolve system issues and maintain payroll system capability through ongoing learning and training.
  • Support employees and managers with payroll-related enquiries, providing clear communication around payroll changes and deadlines.
  • Assist with related finance processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and ad hoc tasks as required, while adhering to WHS and company policies.

Essential Knowledge/Behaviours:


  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Payroll Officer role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian payroll practices, including STP processing and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Experience using recognised payroll systems such as Xero, ePayroll, Paychex, QuickBooks, and/or NetSuite.
  • Sound understanding of payroll compliance, including tax, superannuation, and employee entitlements.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and data integrity.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Confident problem-solving and decision-making skills when handling payroll issues.
  • A collaborative team player who aligns with the Grace Loves Lace mission and values.
  • Retail or multi-site business experience highly desirable.
