ABOUT THE JOB
Key Responsibilities:
The Production Planner will play a key role in ensuring efficient production scheduling and inventory management for Kitchen partners division. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining production plans that balance customer demand, operational capacity, and inventory levels. The Production Planner will work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and sales teams to align production activities with company objectives and customer requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer orders and inventory targets.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address delays or changes in demand.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with sales and demand planning teams to incorporate forecast changes into production schedules.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels of finished goods, raw materials, and packaging to meet production and customer requirements.
- Communicate production plans and changes effectively to manufacturing teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate production planning records and ensure data integrity in planning systems.
- Work closely with supply chain and quality assurance teams to address production issues or constraints.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align production strategies with business goals.
Education & Prerequisites:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or related roles in food manufacturing or a similar industry.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in production planning software and tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and inventory management principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

- Edmonton, AB T6N 1E3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (required)
Experience:
- Production planning: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) (preferred)
