Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Property Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of the property portfolio, ensuring a high level of tenant/resident satisfaction, operational efficiency, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily management of residential properties
- Respond to resident inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance with contractors and vendors
- Support the leasing process, including advertising vacancies, conducting showings, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements
- Assist in rent collection, tracking arrears, and preparing monthly financial reports
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and property management software systems
- Support budgeting, expense tracking, and invoice processing
- Liaise with residents and owners to foster positive relationships
- Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation, company policies, and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum at least 2 years of experience in property management, real estate, or customer service preferred
- Knowledge of residential tenancy laws and property management best practices
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software (e.g., Yardi, or similar)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle may be required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required

- Monday to Friday
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:
- Administrative: 2 years (required)
