Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Property Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of the property portfolio, ensuring a high level of tenant/resident satisfaction, operational efficiency, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily management of residential properties
  • Respond to resident inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance with contractors and vendors
  • Support the leasing process, including advertising vacancies, conducting showings, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements
  • Assist in rent collection, tracking arrears, and preparing monthly financial reports
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and property management software systems
  • Support budgeting, expense tracking, and invoice processing
  • Liaise with residents and owners to foster positive relationships
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation, company policies, and safety standards

Qualifications:

  • Minimum at least 2 years of experience in property management, real estate, or customer service preferred
  • Knowledge of residential tenancy laws and property management best practices
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software (e.g., Yardi, or similar)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle may be required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Flexible language requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

  • Administrative: 2 years (required)
