NuCara Home Medical, Central Iowa's leading provider of Home Respiratory and Home Medical Equipment, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee our Purchasing and Receiving department in Des Moines, Iowa. The successful candidate will possess excellent negotiation skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for using technology to drive efficiency and innovation in a fast-paced HME environment.
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for all aspects of purchasing and inventory management, including placing orders for equipment and supplies, negotiating vendor contracts and pricing, and supervising our Receiving Specialist. We are looking for a tech-savvy leader who is eager to champion a modernization effort to transform our procurement and inventory systems - someone who sees technology not just as a tool, but as a competitive advantage. This is a great opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional ready to make a lasting impact within the home medical equipment industry.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
- Previous experience as a purchasing agent preferred; HME industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Brightree software desired
- Demonstrated ability to lead technology adoption and process improvement initiatives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent math, negotiation, and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 150 lbs.
