Over Unilode

Unilode heeft 's werelds grootste vloot van ongeveer 160.000 unit load devices (ULD's). Dat zijn pallets en containers voor gebruik in de luchtvaart. Unilode verhuurt deze pallets en containers aan meer dan 90 luchtvaartmaatschappijen. Als pallets en containers kapot zijn, dan worden ze gerepareerd. Daarvoor heeft Unilode een eigen netwerk van 50 reparatiestations. We zijn wereldwijd vertegenwoordigd met een reparatiestation op alle grote luchthavens. In Nederland hebben we natuurlijk onze vestiginng op Schiphol. Naast pallets en containers repareren we ook vliegtuig trolleys en netten. Bij Unilode werken momenteel ruim 800 medewerkers. Positie Overzicht

De Repair technician heeft de taak om pallets, containers en netten te repareren volgens de wettelijke regelgeving voorgeschreven voor de luchtvaart. Dat wil zeggen dat pallets en containers worden gerepareerd volgens de officiele handleiding, met gebruik van de voorgeschreven gereedschappen en orginele onderdelen. De reparaties worden uitgevoerd door goed getrainde medewerkers die weten wat ze doen. Na reparatie krijgen alle pallets, containers en netten een certificaat dat aantoont dat er veilig mee gevlogen kan worden.

Algemene Verantwoordelijkheden

• Reparatie van pallets, containers en netten in overeenstemming met de actuele officiele handleiding (CMM).
• Werken volgens regelgeving en procedures voor de luchtvaart.
• Administratie en aftekenen van uitgevoerde werkzaamheden via de tablet.
• Melden van afwijkende zaken.
• Voldoen aan de productiedoelstellingen; kwaliteit en efficiëntie.
• Schoonhouden en op orde houden van de werkplaats en gereedschappen en overige taken die daarbij horen.

Kwalificaties

• Werkt graag met zijn/haar handen.
• Ervaring in het gebruik van handgereedschappen.
• Bekend met systemen binnen een productieomgeving.
• Ervaring in het gebruik van een tablet.
• Aandacht voor detail.
• Flexibel, wendbaar, aanpasbaar en gemotiveerd.
• Communicatieve vaardig, tenminste in Engels en/of Nederlands.
• Klantgericht.
• Ervaring technische publicaties en tekeningen te lezen (pré).
• In goede conditie.

Position Overview

The Technician is a key partner in managing the day to day business at the repair station. He/She will ensure smooth and efficient repair processes as well as make serviceable aviation equipment within the boundaries of the company certification.

General responsibilities

• Repair aviation components in accordance with the relevant OEM technical publications and company MOE.
  
• Performing any additional maintenance (re-work), which may not have been recorded on the Work Order and was found unsatisfactory during an inspection.
  
• Abide by all company and aviation authority procedures.
  
• Undertake administrative duties with attention to accuracy and timeliness of information
  
• Report discrepancies in a timely manner.
  
• Meet production targets.
  
• Carry out other duties as and when directed, like cleaning containers or pallets etc.

• General knowledge of aviation regulations.
• Ability to interface with computers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read technical publications and drawings.
• Familiarity with systems within a production environment.
• Exposure to quality systems.
• Attention to detail.
  
• Component in the use of hand tools.
• Excellent communication skills including written and oral English.
• Flexible, agile, adaptable and self-motivated.
• Passion for Customer Service.
  
• Physically fit with the ability to lift, pull, and push in excess of 65 lbs.
