About Us:

Irish Machinery Auctions is a leading force in the agricultural, construction, and plant machinery auction sector. We connect buyers and sellers across Ireland and beyond, facilitating the sale of everything from compact tractors to heavy excavators. As we continue to expand our digital footprint, we are looking for a creative and energetic Social Media & Content Executive to join our close-knit team.

The Role:

This is not just a desk job. While you will be the voice of our brand online, you’ll also get a front-row seat to the action. We are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to get their boots dirty to get the best shot. You will split your time between creating engaging content (video/photography) and assisting with the operational side of our auction days.

Key Responsibilities:

Content & Social Media:

• Manage our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube) to build engagement and follower growth.
• Attend our auction yard to capture high-quality photos and video content of machinery entering auctions.
• Create engaging short-form video content (Reels/TikToks) showcasing machinery, auction day buzz, and behind-the-scenes action.
• Schedule posts, monitor comments, and engage with our online community.
• Assist in creating basic marketing materials or email campaigns when required.
• Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent posting.

Auction Support:

• Assist the operations team during live auction days (this could include bidder check-in, guiding customers, or general yard support).
• Help with lotting processes (e.g., placing lot numbers, assisting with vehicle/machinery organization prior to sale).
• Provide general administrative support to the auction team as needed.

Who We Are Looking For:

Essential Skills & Attributes:

• A strong interest or proven track record in social media and content creation.· A creative eye for photography and video, you know how to make a tractor look good!
• Proficiency with smartphones/cameras and basic editing apps.
• Excellent written English and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
• Ability to work well under pressure, particularly on busy auction days.

Desirable (but not essential):

• Previous experience in a marketing or social media role.
• A portfolio or examples of previous work (Instagram/TikTok accounts, a showreel, or design samples).· An interest in machinery, farming, or construction.
• Experience with WordPress or email marketing software.

You might be a recent graduate looking for your first break, or an experienced exec looking for a more varied role. You’re a storyteller at heart, but you’re also practical. You understand that to get the perfect video of a excavator, you might have to stand in a muddy field—and you’re okay with that.
