- Looking for a kitchen where your culinary creativity actually influences the menu and ready to take ownership of a dynamic kitchen and fast-track your path to becoming a Head Chef. The Gables invites you to join our team if you are looking for a challenge and a busy lively restaurant.
Our Sous Chef is responsible for managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and assisting the head chef.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing daily food prep, running the pass during service, and stepping in for the head chef in their absence.
- Assisting in training junior cooks, delegating tasks, and keeping the team motivated and on schedule.
- Enforcing strict haccp, hygiene and food safety standards, checking quality and consistency in food production and presentation.
- Have full knowledge of how to manage Inventory, stock control and ordering, tracking stock levels, managing food waste, and ordering fresh ingredients
Pay: From €43,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- DUBLIN 18, County Dublin: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
