Recently refurbished and beautifully upgraded, The Plaza Hotel Tallaght has been completely transformed. The interior of this 4-star hotel now features exciting new eateries alongside 122 spacious and comfortable ensuite bedrooms, including a selection of large suites. Two bright and versatile event spaces, along with four meeting suites, provide the perfect setting for conferences and events of all sizes, from 5 to 200 guests.

About The Role

At the Plaza Hotel, our team takes pride in delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining high hospitality standards at all times.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Supporting the senior kitchen team with food preparation and basic cooking duties.
• Assisting with ingredient preparation and mise en place for different kitchen sections.
• Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in all food preparation and storage areas.
• Following HACCP procedures and all food safety guidelines at all times.
• Working efficiently as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and consistently high-quality food.
• Helping with stock rotation and proper storage of food items.
• Assisting with daily kitchen tasks as directed by senior chefs.

Requirements

• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn, develop, and grow within the kitchen team.
• Previous kitchen experience is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• A genuine interest in food preparation, culinary skills, and a career in hospitality.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• A strong understanding of cleanliness and personal hygiene standards.
