The Clubhouse Bar & Restaurant by Wild is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join our busy kitchen team at Lahinch Golf Club. This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of Ireland's premier golf destinations, serving members and visitors from around the world.
Working alongside our experienced chefs, the successful candidate will assist in delivering high-quality food across breakfast, lunch and dinner services in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Support the kitchen team during breakfast, lunch and evening service.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with recipes, portion controls and food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen and storage areas.
- Follow HACCP procedures and health and safety regulations.
- Assist with stock rotation and storage of deliveries.
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
- Contribute positively to the culture and standards of the business.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen is essential.
- A genuine passion for food and hospitality.
- Enthusiastic, hardworking and eager to learn.
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends and busy periods.
- Willingness to work long hours when required during peak trading periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP procedures.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards.
