Relationships Australia Tasmania is seeking a compassionate and skilled Counsellor to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of children, families, individuals, and couples.

As a Counsellor at RA Tas, you will provide high-quality, trauma-informed therapeutic support, including family and relationship counselling, grief and loss support, group work, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services, to a diverse range of clients experiencing relationship and life challenges. You will draw on counselling theory and evidence-based interventions to support improved mental health, personal wellbeing, and healthy relationships within a child-safe, values-driven organisation.

Do you fit the bill?

  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field
  • Proven experience delivering a range of counselling services, including group work
  • Strong understanding of counselling theories and therapeutic interventions
  • Experience working therapeutically with families and children, individuals, and couples
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Salary starting from $94,414.20 – $107,674.84 + Super / *Pro-rata
