Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, loaders to support various construction projects. This role requires mechanical knowledge, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Excavator Operator will play a vital part in ensuring project accuracy and safety standards are maintained throughout all phases of construction.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other heavy equipment, grading, and site preparation tasks
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
• Assist with horizontal drilling, paving, and other specialized construction activities as needed
• Maintain accurate operation logs and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries on site
• Perform minor mechanical adjustments or troubleshooting on equipment when necessary

Skills

• Proven experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and other heavy machinery in a construction setting
• Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with bobcat equipment and attachments is preferred
• Ability to operate horizontal drilling machines and perform paving tasks is a plus
• Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
