Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our team in Harmons. As a key member of the kitchen brigade, the Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing dishes with precision and consistency according to our restaurant’s standards. This role requires a passion for food, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station at all times.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (HACCP or local equivalents).
- Communicate clearly and effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team.
- Assist with prep work, mise en place, and inventory management.
- Adapt to changing menus and special requests.
- Uphold the highest standards of kitchen hygiene and equipment care.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience as a line cook in a high-volume or fine dining environment preferred.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent work experience is an asset.
- Strong knife skills and a solid understanding of cooking techniques.
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
