Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dish ideas and seasonal updates to keep offerings fresh and appealing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, portioning, and presentation for optimal freshness and visual appeal.
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently while maintaining high standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service during busy hours.
- Follow all food handling protocols, including proper knife skills, cooking techniques, and allergen awareness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, with a strong foundation in kitchen operations.
- Demonstrated culinary experience with proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus.
- Skills in menu planning, catering support, and serving are highly desirable.
- Excellent knife skills and ability to perform meal preparation efficiently under pressure.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
