✅ Dispatcher Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate and Schedule Loads
• Plan and assign loads for drivers, ensuring on-time pickups and deliveries.
• Manage routes efficiently to maximize profits and minimize delays.
• Amazon Relay / Load Board Management
• Actively search, book, and confirm loads from Amazon boards and other load boards.
• Ensure compliance with Amazon’s policies and performance metrics.
• Driver Communication & Support
• Maintain clear and timely communication with drivers throughout their trips.
• Assist drivers with any issues (breakdowns, delays, etc.) and provide solutions quickly.
• Load Tracking & Updates
• Monitor shipments in real-time, update status in tracking systems, and inform customers when necessary.
• Handle check calls and provide accurate ETAs.
• Problem Solving & Critical Thinking
• Anticipate potential problems and resolve them before they affect delivery timelines.
• Handle last-minute changes, cancellations, or emergencies with professionalism.
• Documentation & Compliance
• Ensure all load-related documents are complete and accurate (BOLs, PODs, invoices).
• Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and Amazon Relay requirements.
• Customer & Broker Interaction
• Communicate with brokers/customers to negotiate rates and confirm details.
• Build strong relationships for repeat business.
• Multitasking & Prioritization
• Manage multiple drivers and loads at the same time without compromising accuracy.
• Prioritize urgent tasks while keeping all other operations smooth.
• Go the Extra Mile
• Take full ownership of dispatch operations, ensuring smooth workflow.
• Be available for urgent situations and provide proactive solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with transportation management systems is preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Multitasker with ability to work under pressure.
• Tech-savvy, familiar with Amazon Relay and load boards.
• Problem solver with a “ownership” mindset.
• Looking for long-term commitment.
• Flexible and ready to go the extra mile.
