Due to continued growth, Kent Stainless are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our production team. This role is responsible for transforming engineering STEP files into high-precision machine code for our fleet of Trumpf machinery. You will be the technical bridge between design and the shop floor, ensuring that material utilization is maximized and production efficiency is seamless.

Responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to;

• Multi-Platform Programming: Utilize Trumpf TruTops, TruTube and Boost to generate programs for Sheet Laser, Tube Laser, and Press Brake (Folding) operations.
• CAD/CAM Conversion: Import and process STEP files from the engineering department, identifying potential manufacturing issues before they reach the production floor.
• Material Optimization: Execute strategic nesting to minimize scrap and maximize material yield.
• Inventory Management: Use SAP to accurately book stock material, track usage, and ensure material traceability.
• Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret complex technical drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and bend allowances.

Desirable skills and experience but not essential

• Technical: Proven experience with Trumpf ecosystem (TruTops/Boost).
• Systems: Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems for material booking.
• Mindset: Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet production deadlines.
