CNC Programmer

Myers Controlled Power has been a leading producer of engineered-to-order low and medium voltage power distribution equipment. We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will develop and optimize programs for multi-axis and horizontal machines supporting sheet metal fabrication, playing a key role in driving efficiency, accuracy, and overall production performance. This position is based in Canton, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

· Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis and horizontal machines

· Utilize drawings and CAD models to develop accurate and efficient programs

· Determine machining sequences and select appropriate tooling

· Run simulations and test programs to ensure quality and performance

· Maintain program documentation, including set-up sheets and tool lists

· Analyze work orders and perform necessary calculations for programming

· Collaborate with engineering and production teams to finalize programs

· Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machining issues

· Monitor program performance to ensure compliance with drawings, safety, and quality standards

· Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce cycle times

Qualifications

· 2–5 years of CNC programming experience (sheet metal preferred)

· Proficiency with CAD and AP100US

· Experience with nesting parts and reading blueprints

· Strong math and measurement skills (fractions/decimals)

· High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or certification preferred

Work Environment

· Office-based within a manufacturing facility

· Regular interaction with shop floor operations

Physical Requirements

· Primarily sedentary with occasional walking

· Light lifting up to 25 lbs

· Close visual focus required
