Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and manage check-in/out
- Schedule appointments, follow up with no-shows, answer phones
- Maintain accurate EMRs and clinic records
- Assist with pre-testing, imaging, frame selection, and fittings
- Educate patients on contact lens use and care
- Process payments and maintain daily reconciliation
- Keep exam rooms, equipment, and reception areas organized
- Handle patient concerns professionally
Personal Characteristics
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Comfortable in a fast-paced clinic and enjoys taking on more responsibilities
- Quick learner, proactive, and open to feedback
- Strong communication, computer, and phone skills
- Friendly, professional, and patient-focused
- Natural team leader
Education & Experience
- Post-secondary education in medical records or medical office assistant is required
- Previous experience in ophthalmology/optometry is preferred but not required
- 1+ years experience in a medical practice is preferred but not required
Schedule & Pay
- Full time
- Evenings & Saturdays required
- Opportunity for long-term growth
